1. Complete the “Writer’s Desk Warm Ups” on pages 266, 278, 291, and 303. Write your paragraphs in your blog; you should have four paragraphs after you have completed this assignment. Each paragraph should have at least 200 words, no misspellings, no contractions, no run-on sentences, and no sentence fragments.
2. For Chapter 16, “Simple Sentences,” complete pages 269-270. Read “Indentifying Prepositional Phrase” on page 269, and complete practice 3 on page 270. Do the work in your book. Put your name of the pages and hand them in to me when you have completed the assignment.
3. Read “Helping Verbs on page 273, and complete the practice on page 274. Do the work in your book. Put your name of the pages and hand them in to me when you have completed the assignment.
4. On page 275, complete the Writer’s Desk exercise. Print out your paragraph to do this assignment. Put your name on your paper, and hand this assignment in at the end of the class period.
5. For Chapter 17, “Compound Sentences,” read pages 278 through 289. Complete all exercises on these pages: practices 1 through 8 and the final review exercise. Put your name of the pages and hand them in to me when you have completed the assignment. For the Writer’s Desk assignment on page 287, print out your paragraph to do this assignment. Put your name on your paper, and hand this assignment in at the end of the class period.
